The Google AR 3D Offers Knowledge with Playfulness
With most of the world under lockdown, people are forced to work from home and continue daily chores at the house. It will be fine for a week to go through this mundane work from the home process, but over time, we will begin to get bored and feel the negative effects of self-isolation. With so much restriction, we can’t venture out to spend some time in nature and spend time with friends and loved ones.
The only option left with the people is to sit back and binge-watch multimedia contents on phones, laptops, and smart TVs. Some tech companies have started to roll out interesting features and the users are simultaneously discovering deeper features in major mobile operating systems.
One functionality that stands out is the Google 3D view. This application has caught the attention of mobile users across the world, as it brings out entertainment element to kids as well as adults.
Google Launched First AR 3D Object in Search APP
Google launched the AR-based 3D view app on the in 2019. It enables the users to have visuals about the object or any animal would look in real life. It is a fun feature, especially for children to understand how big wild animals are and how they behave in the jungle.
The Google AR 3D view app is available on all Android phones with AR core support. It will be able to show animals such as Shark, Lion, Tiger, Cat, Dog and many other animals in their life-size dimensions and also has minimized dimensions along with audio effects added to them.
Along with the Android phones and tablets, Apple iPhones, iPads, and iPods (7th gen) also support Google AR 3D view application. This just requires you to launch the Safari browser and search for animals via the Google search engine. Here, you will find the “View in 3D” option in the bottom left corner of the page.
All the major phones from brands such as Samsung, OnePlus, Google, LG, Xiaomi, Asus, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, and Huawei, among others support Google AR.
You can check if your phone supports Android AR Core by going through this list ((External Google link – https://developers.google.com/ar/discover/supported-devices?hl=ja#android_play)).

There’s more than just 3D animals in Google Search. On top of that, Google can also show some other objects. To do this, Google partners with certain websites and brands to show products, furniture, and even the human body in 3D. We’ve listed some examples such as
- Human skeleton
- NASA objects
- Mercury
- Venus
- Earth
- Mars
- Jupiter
- Saturn
- Neptune
- Uranus
- Pluto
- Chauvet cave
- Neil Armstrong
- Apollo 11 command module.
Though, these examples aren’t quite as straightforward as the 3D animals, as the 3D models appear lower in search results alongside the websites that power them.
From time to time, too, they just won’t appear. The planets, for example, appear more reliably when you add “in-depth” to the search query.
In the future, Google may also add more objects to this collection. There’s evidence that cars may be coming soon.
